Character Name: Morgan Christabel
Race: Faustian (Or Sorceress.)
Race Description: A Faustian is born a human but does not remain as normal humans. Almost always a woman, the Faustians are endowed with powerful abilities to manipulate the elements. This is caused by a massive increase in mental capabilities that allow them to manipulate certain aspects of the world around them in such a way that defies the general knowledge of known physics, though her abilities are limited and she is not at all to be considered an omnipotent being. The draw back being that the parasitic presence that allows her the abilities grows as the Faustian does and can only be tamed through the affection of others.
Physical Abilities: The use of a sword is the physical discipline that she has been taught in her youth, though she rarely has the need to use such a weapon.
Magical Abilities: Controlling the elements is the most powerful gift Faustians are given, though they command great responsibility and self-control for the power itself has been known to corrupt past Faustians into becoming the most diabolical and evil presences in the land. Aside from this, they have the root-ability of psychokinesis, which is the result of a mental adaptation that their bodies develop from needing strong mental stability in order to control both themselves, and their powers, and to prevent themselves from becoming uncontrollable living weapons of mass destruction.
Description: At 5'7", Christabel stands as a figure of authority and power. Her skin has given way to a pale and pasty complexion and her eyes have become radiant with the inner power she harbors; so much so that they changed in appearance, from that of a humans to that of a cat's. Her hair has remained a subtle shade of black tinted with a hue of indigo.
Inventory:
(1 - Sword Caladbog): A two-handed sword that is said to leave the trail of a rainbow when swung. It is also said to have the power to slice the tops off hills. No accounts of it having been used in such a manner have been proven.
History: Born 87 years prior to the establishment of King Balthatos in Arem-Dee. At age 17, her Faustian abilities peaked, which caused her physical appearance to age at an extremely slower rate. It was at that point that radical extremists attacked her home, being under the impression that Faustians are entities of pure evil and can bring nothing but harm into the land. Refusing to submit their daughter, Morgan's parents were murdered and hung upon a tree as demonstration of the result for harboring Faustians.
If it wasn't for a being known only as "The Darkness," Morgan would have have suffered the fate of a painful death as her parents did. It was recorded that The Darkness was a being of incredible power that tore a scar through the northern Lacynian realm and made it's final stop at the town where Morgan's parents were murdered where it was never seen or heard of in such lands again.
After this incident, Morgan fled to the southern regions where she became a major political aspect in the Danivian Kingdom, becoming the Emperors adviser and strong-arm during the times of war. She spent several years here, watching the aging king rise to become a major political super-power amongst the regions. Regardless, she found herself in the middle of conspiracy and eventually became the source of the king's death, rendering Davinia into a kingdom of the past which no longer stands. Most of the people fled to the neighboring countries, some even going to Arem-Dee. Those that stayed in their own land live in a tribal society, having no real form of government to lead them.
After this incident, she came to the land of Arem-Dee (15 years before the adoption of Konnan Krieger) where she met a man known only as Sir Arthur Krieger. Being mistaken for a vagrant, Krieger, who had no child of his own at the time, brought Morgan to a textile mill where he arranged for Morgan to work as a thread spinner on a loom.
She did this for a few months before Sir Arthur Krieger and his wife asked her to become their daughter under adoptive standards. She refused, fearing that the hunters who murdered her real parents might come this long way and take the lives of these people. Regardless, the Kriegers held no grudge or hostility toward her and she grew to trust them as if they were her parents, though she knew that they were not. This trust extended even as far as to reveal to them of her Faustian abilities. The Kriegers did not look upon her abilities with scorn, rather they accepted her gifts and showed no animosity toward it. Arthur Krieger even went as far as to show her the art of swordsmanship.
A year and a half later she departed from the home of Sir Arthur Krieger, having heard of a group of people in the mountains who have similar abilities as she did. Wanting to learn more about herself and what she was capable of doing, she set off but was halted by an extremely evil looking area of land that the locals called The Woods of Death. She refused to enter this area and it wasn't long before she realized that she had been traveling in the wrong direction.
As such, she would not go back to the home of Sir Arthur Krieger, fearing that her alleged hunters had discovered her whereabouts and were now searching these lands. She made her establishment in Aithien, using the money she had made from textile to buy a small hovel in the east-side of town where the crime was somewhat lower then the rest of the city, though still high in it's rate.
Several years passed and she spent this time reading books and taking in the loneliness of her solitude. Her appearance began to change. Her once fair complexion gave way to a pale hue that overtook her appearance. Her eyes became like that of a cat's eyes and she was slowly becoming what she had feared the most; an uncontrollable shadow of herself.
Having learned about the history of Faustians through the many books she read, she began to understand why she was attacked and why her parents were murdered so many years ago, though she did not embrace this with kindness. She learned of the wickedness of corrupted Faustians and how their powers act as a symbiotic parasite that eventually grow uncontrollable if not tamed.
And so she went back to the only people in the world who earned her trust; the Kriegers, though she found herself now in the middle of a political battle. There were some that wanted King Balthatos dead, and others who supported his rule. Morgan knew not of what side she wanted to take, and so she involved herself accordingly to Sir Arthur Krieger's cause, but she fears that it may already be too late for her sanity and for herself.
